Taster Picnic

This is our taster picnic - a chance for you and your little ones to come and meet us, have a scrummy picnic around our campfire and enjoy some taster Forest School activities.

Come and join in, ask us any questions you have about Natural Wonder and make some new friends.

This session is FREE, all activities included at no extra cost. 

The picnic is for parents and little ones thinking of joining Natural Wonder (this session is not a drop-off session).

What is Natural Wonder?

Natural Wonder is a child-led, drop-off, outdoor learning Forest School designed for home educated children aged 4 - 8.

What is this event?

This picnic is an introduction to Natural Wonder - a unique outdoor learning environment for home educated children. This event is a chance to sample activities for families considering joining Natural Wonder - it’s an informal chance to explore our 9 acre woodland setting, to meet the team, ask any questions and have some fun in the woods!

What do I have to bring?

• Please check the weather beforehand and wear appropriate clothing - we're outside come rain or shine and it's much more fun with the right clothes!
• Sturdy shoes for you and your little ones
• If it's sunny, please apply sun cream at home
• Please bring some hand gel to keep yourself and others safe
• Pack your picnic & blanket (we aren't providing food)
• Bring a mug and we’ll give you tea/coffee!
• Bug repellant can help this time of year

Setting Location

Our woodland setting is in Ascot, Berkshire - to keep our site and children safe, you'll get location and postcode confirmed in your reservation email.

There are toilets and plenty of parking on site.

Natural Wonder Forest School is designed for children aged 4-8 years old, but this picnic is a family event - so older and younger siblings are welcome to come along.
